Painting by Mary Cassatt of a woman knitting in a garden setting with greenery and a window in the background

Our letter considers what a state of uncertainty looks like and discusses the potential (and positive) opportunities delivered to us via an uncertain future. We reference the thinking of poet John Keats who was absolutely clear on how being open to uncertainty enhances creativity and intellectual agility.

Fittingly, we enclose a poem by Keats, as well as art postcards borne of work produced thousands of years apart - Mary Cassatt in 1880 and a Memento Mori from Pompeii, thought to have been made circa 1st century AD.

One of the questions in the Invitation to Ponder asks, "When have you chosen certainty over potential excitement or adventure?"
